SHEET CRACKING

Sometimes there is loss of caliper while operating the machine.

Sheet cracking occur due to number of reasons :

Causes Solutions
The board is too dry The board should have a minimum of 10 - 12 percent of moisture.
Proper creasing heads are not used. For example creasing of a 7 ply board with a creaser designed for 3 -ply you may get sheet cracking. Use suitable creasing heads , depending upon the thickness of the board.
Improper lamination of board in the portion where creasing is to be done. Proper lamination must be done.
