Machines
for packaging and advertising materials - in
worldwide production
Designed for single and double-sided
lamination of corrugated board (single or double
faced), board and other faced carrier materials
with high quality printed sheets, using any
of the normal, commercial adhesives. A special
machine is also available to laminate board
on board.
proven design - competitively priced - problem
free - compact design - extendable - universal
application
Working Width
1524mm
Output
up to 4,000 sheets/hour
depending on sheet size, quality of material,
and skill of operators. For output data please
see table on page1.
Method of Operation
The printed sheet being approx. 10 mm larger
in
length and width than the substrate is fed to
a front and side lay. The pre-aligned corrugated
sheet is pushed between the draw rollers, glued
beneath the coating rollers from above and collects
the waiting printed sheet. After passing through
the two pressure rollers, the sheets pile up
on the delivery table and are then stacked onto
a pallet.
An additional pressure belt improves the quality
of the product as this belt has a variable speed
so the pressure drying time is adjustable. This
leads to saving in adhesive. Feeding is not
subject to a working cycle, therefore smaller
sheets result in increased output.
Construction
All rollers are coated and run on ball bearings.
The drive ist continuously adjustable.
During breaks in working or other stop periods,
the gluing unit, which is driven by a separate
motor, carries on running.
The frame and machine sides are of a solid construction.
Central adjustment; 2 handwheels for adjusting
the rollers to different material thicknesses,
therefore short make-ready times.
Suction table feed with vacuum pump for corrugated
board.
The machine is trouble-free, silent, and little
maintenance is necessary. Adjustable pressure
belt with parallel lifting pressure rollers.
Automatic printed sheet feeder of proven design;
if required with pre-loading device.
Pile delivery with non-stop device.
Model Range
All machines are suitable for single and double-faced
corrugated; Machine designed for board and other
types of carrier materials, as are all other
machines
subject to certain limitations.
The pressure belt with sheets running in shingled
formation brings advantages when using single-faced
corrugated with a good flat surface which lowers
glue consumption.
The automatic stacking in one direction of the
finished product onto the pile delivery with
non-stop device .greatly increases the productivity
of the laminators. This, however, requires a
flat surface of the sheets. It is possible to
extend the machines in stages to the fully automatic
specification.
Electrical Equipment
Standard specification: 3 phase; 220/380 volts;
50 Hz. Variations will be subject to a supplementary
charge.
Glue Feed
Adhesives with a plastic resin or starch base
can be
used.
The automatic glue feed system is included in
the delivery.
Glue consumption depending upon type of paper
and adhesive:
- single-faced corrugated approx. 25-30 g/m2
- double-faced and board approx. 70 g/m2
Quality of Laminating Materials
Smooth surface with cleanly cut corners and
sides, of
an even overall thickness. Although these requirements
are not always fulfilled, our machines continue
to produce the best results.
Material Thickness
Carrier materials from 0,6-8 mm
Variations are permitted according to quality.
Single-faced corrugated can only be fed with
the flutes in the running direction of the machine.
For board from 250-400 g/m2 an additional stripper
bar is required.Cover materials from 100-400
g/m2
With the special machine up to 1,200 g/m2. Variations
are possible depending on quality.
Feed Tolerance
+ 1 mm
Maintenance
The machine should be cleaned daily.
Cleaning time: 10-15 minutes.
Now also deliverable:
- Edge to edge laminating machine
- Rotary-cross-cutter with direct drive
- Rotary window patching and lining machine
