This Order Change System brings the Corrugator
another step closer to a completely automated
combining line. It is the fastest automatic
changeover system today because its sequential
operation reduces change time to the minimum
possible. The Automatic Order Change System
sets the working pace at the slitter and
sheet collector. Operators maintain their
activity to match production of the machine.
In addition, where order changes are frequent,
a gain of 100,000 square feet of board
pershift is normally realized, when compared
with machines lacking this feature. A
Corrugator producing board at 300 fpm
takes only 30 seconds to go from operating
speed again.
Flatter board, better
printability with Adhesive System
The exclusive Anilox Adhesive System
offers many extras in addition to yielding
glue savings up to 25%. Because of the
uniquely engraved anilox roll, there
is an extremely uniform level of glue
released to the flute tips. The result
is less moisture for flatter board with
better printing qualities. The unconstrained
withdrawal of glue from the exclusive
engraving avoids starch build-up so
that the roll "cleans itself."
Some boxmakers have reported a successful
switchover to a single starch viscosity
system for their corrugators through
the use of the Anilox Adhesive System.
Easier operation, better
board with Single Facer
Corrugating rolls are finish ground,
not milled, planed or lapped. PreCision
grinding yeilds truest flute contours,
permitting high-speed boardmaking right
from startup. This Model has a new steam-shower
conept to assure more accurate flute
formation at high speeds. The machine
is open in design for convenient adjustment,
complete visibility and cooler operation.
Servicing, such as stripping )f congealed
adhesive, can be done without moving
the ingers from normal opearting position.
The pendant control lanel travels with
the operator, making threading and linep
of medium and liner easier, faster.
Constant automatic
web tension with Mill Roll Stand
You start by saving the attention normally
needed for repeated brake adjustments
to hold web tension just right. This
Model with brake tensioner does it automatcally,
helping to control long-way warpage
and diagonal twist in the double facer,
reducing split cores, broken webs. Positioning
scales enable fast, accurate prealignment
of rolls.Both result in accurate alignment
of medium with liner. The roll carrier
can rotate 3600 in either direction.
This reduces paper waste and adds to
productivity. The Graduate Mill Roll,
of all mill roll stands, is the most
readily adaptable to complete corrugator
automation.
Smooth operation, accurate
cutting with Cutoff
Graduate developed the first Duplexffriplex
Cutoff which makes possible a new concept
in corrugator scheduling. This new concept
leads to greater flexibility, reduction
in roll inventory and reduction of waste.
In addition, the model provides smoother,
more accurate cutting because of several
majorteatures. The knife bars are counterbalanced
to dampen the interia peaks, providing
smoother operation and more precise
sheet length cutting. The large-diameter
knife bars reduce the whip necessary
to meet the linear speed of the board
when cutting in the normal sheet-length
range. Service is minimized, too, since
the entire Reeves Drive Unit is specially
constructed and permanently sealed so
that it never needs lubrication.
What makes this Corrugator
the India's most advanced corrugator--and
why would the operator have designed
it just this way? There are many reasons.
The entire Corrubiner requires a minimum
of operator attention. It allows more
time for quality control, more time
to cut down on material waste.
